Life has its ups and downs
Sometimes you smile and sometimes you frown
You first learn to walk
And talk
Then you learn to ride a bike
And other things you like
Mom was always there
Nothing was unfair
Life is great
Until you learn of hate
Then things go wrong
And your friend is now gone
Things happen so fast
Before you know it they've past
Then it happens and you've
Just been told your going to move
You're in a new town
All you can do is frown
You soon make new friends
And the pain finally starts to mend
Then one night
Your parents begin to fight
You think your dad is going away
For only a couple of days
But then when he doesn't come home
You start to feel alone
Your parents separate
And your dad has a new mate
No one ever knew
That your dad was never there for you
Or that you were in sooo much pain
And it took a lot of effort trying to stay sane
You've made it thru life so far
With all of your emotions kept in a jar
And now they're all starting to come out
You just wish you could shout
Your mom is starting to date
You feel like you're carrying all the weight
You've just lost your best friend
And you want things to end
Life can get pretty rough
But never give up
